Ladder Safety and Roofing
Your ladder an essential tool when doing any DIY repairs to your roof. So it's important to remember these safety tips before attempting and roof inspection or repair.
When setting your ladder, make sure you extend it at least 3 feet above the top of the roof. Also check the ground underneath the ladder to ensure that it is even and not slippery. Ladder stakes attach your ladder to the ground and can be found on most hardware stores.
Roof anchors or tie-offs fasten to the top of your ladder to the roof rafters, also help keep your ladder from sliding.
